Habakkuk Carrier (x1) 3d Printed in color Tan

Our latest 3D printed set features the concept super carrier HMS Habakkuk. The HMS Habakkuk was a planned British super carrier.   The carrier would have been constructed out of ice and wood pulp – a mixture called Pykrete - which was highly resistant to melting.   The resulting carrier would have been 2,000 feet long, displaced two million tons carried an air complement 150-300 aircraft.  The ship would have been relatively immune to torpedo fire The Habakkuk would have towed to the mid Atlantic as a floating air base to protect convoy lanes traditionally out of reach of land-based aircraft.   Their use was also anticipated in the Indian Ocean where they could refuel aircraft making the transit to the Far East.

HBG’s 3D printed sets (TDP) are designated with a letter code for reference in future expansions.  This set is TDPH, our 8th 3D printed expansion.

HABAKKUK
Habakkuk is a super UK carrier is a superb addition to anybody's Royal or Commonwealth navy. This unit paints up really nice and three Tac bombers or naval fighters fit on it very well. Overall a really nice unit.
