The English name of this kit has been used here, but the correct name is that written in Cyrillic, which is 9K 115 'Metis' (AT-7 'Saxhorn' is the NATO designation for this weapon). Whatever you call it, it is a Soviet anti-tank missile dating from the 1980s which was usually launched from the tripod as modelled in this kit. The weapon is an impressively detailed and accurate model of the original, with all the slender but authentic sculpting that we would expect from Zvezda.

All three men wear the same basic uniform, including standard body armour and helmets for the intended c.1990 date. Apart from the operator of the Metis the men are holding AK-74 assault rifles, as you might expect, and the kneeling man is carrying three missiles in tubes on his back. Unfortunately these figures are not provided with their own base, but must instead share one large base as seen here. This is fine as a game piece, which is what it is, but Zvezda usually include separate bases for each man so they can be used by modellers too. If you look at the sprue you can see that there is plenty of empty space which could have been used for such bases, so this is a quite unnecessary drawback to this product.
