At the start of WWII, the ACL/135 were considered the best medium tanks (although it was classified as self propelled artillery), combining shell-proof armour and serious armament, capable of destroying any tank in the world.
It was the French prototype of an SPG produced by Renault in 1934. The chassis is developed on the basis of the Char D3 (Colonial Char D1). Vehicle was armed with 75mm gun mle 1928
