Description:
This acrylic paint set, categorized as 3rd Generation, includes six colors used for painting vehicles of the German Afrika Korps in North Africa from early 1941 to May 1943.
Initially, most of the vehicles and equipment sent to Africa were painted RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau (dark gray) overall.
In March 1941, specific camouflage colors were selected for use in Africa:
RAL 8000 Gelbbraun (yellow-brown) to cover two-thirds of the vehicle's surface
RAL 7008 Graugrün (gray-green) to cover one-third of the vehicle's surface
In March 1942, the camouflage colors were changed to:
RAL 8020 Braun (brown)
RAL 7027 Grau (gray)
The set also includes RAL 1001 Elfenbein (ivory) for the vehicle's interior color.
The AFV series offers authentic colors, which can be purchased separately or in sets. These colors have been carefully developed and researched, making them the top choice for demanding modelers. The colors in these sets are based on RAL colors, Federal Standard, and other color standards used by armed forces worldwide and in civilian applications.
You can trust that these paints have been created by experts, and many of them have a "scale reduction factor" to achieve realistic results on your models. The back of the boxes provides examples and color profiles as references for your painting projects.
