“Garder le calme et continuer”
Built on a Normandie class battleship hull, the Bearn is a bit shorter than the other carriers, but is still an impressive vessel. It sits high ‘out of the water’, with impressive details, (portholes & elevators), & its blue hue is a good match. (58x10mm – 2.3x0.4in). It holds two fighters quite well, though because of their undercarriage ‘legs’, you need to slot no.1 down over the deck where it tapers at the bow. The deck is wide enough for no.2 amidships. Tac. Bombers are another matter. Their ‘legs’ are the same width as the deck, so be prepared for a balancing act. If you place one forward, (like the fighter), because of its rounded fuselage, it rolls & will have a wing in the water. (Though, if you’re playing France, & you have a carrier with two Tac. Bombers; this is a small problem compared to Germany’s).
