Ju-488 Heavy Bomber (x5)

Since the whole expansion set was out of stock in German Black, I bought a few of the pieces to "try out" and the Ju-488 was one of them. I bought a pair of them and upon receiving them, I was impressed with several things. Firstly, their color and sheen is identical to that of an OOB piece so they would mesh well into any game one plays. Next, they also provide something I always have felt Germany lacking; an actual heavy bomber. The standard OOB Ju-88 twin engine bomber is nice, but it lacked that authority a four engine bomber has and this gives Germany that authority. Finally, the detail, as familiar with the HBG name, this piece is intricately detailed for something so small, I cannot recommend this piece enough.

I personally think that the german pieces with the exception of the infantry are the weakest ones in A&A. These bombers are way better than the ones that come with the game mostly because these actually look like strategic bombers whereas the out of box ones look more like tactical bombers. These are also excellently detailed.
