We have heard our gaming customers asking for markers that are better than cardboard, but smaller than other companies that produce these. So here they are!

HBG Customer House Rule:
Objective Markers - For our house rule, my family and I have found this to be very helpful to track what battles need to take place, which ones are complete and not to confuse who has moved and has not moved on a turn, or units in a newly conquered territory.
Objective markers are used in three steps: Declare Objectives, Complete Objectives, Finalize movement and remove objectives.
1. Declare Objectives
During the combat phase, the current player will designate locations of hostility by placing an objective marker on each territory or sea zone.
2. Complete objectives
Once all makers have been placed, the attack phase will begin. On the completion of an objective, by the resolution of a conflict in a sea zone or territory, flip the objective marker over so that the blank side displays.
Do not remove the objective marker.
3. Finalize movement
The current player will finalize their move in the non-combat phase. Only planes should need to be moved from objective locations at this point. Perform all non-combat moves.
Once a move is completed, in a territory or sea zone, remove the objective from that location and place the marker back into the pool of game markers.
