HBG Customer House Rule:
HBG-ACR-177
GW1936 house rules for Protected Ports
A player can expend 3 IPP to upgrade a port, shipyard, dockyard, seaplane base or submarine base to a Protected Port. A Protected Port maker (HBG-ACR-177) is placed next to the facility in the Place Units Phase.
If a Protected Port is attacked by Special Operation Forces (GW1936-X-36) in the Raiders Role, the defender may add +2 to his roll in the Raider's Combat Phase.
If a naval unit in the same sea zone as a Protected Port is attacked by a Maiale Torpedo (HBG-ACR-0077) or other manned torpedo according to the rules for SOF Manned Torpedos, the attacker must subtract 2 from his Manned Torpedo Sequence roll.
If a facility is damaged, the facility looses any benefits from being a Protected Port. If repaired, it regains the benefits.
SPECIAL:
When playing with the Expansion rules for the CANT Z.511 (HBG-3DP-0262B), the attacker must subtract 2 from his strategic attack role when attacking with a manned torpedo. When trying to attempt the Missione New York Scheme, the scheme is a failure on a D6 roll of 5 or 6 if a Protected Port is located in New York.
