Base set for Global War 1936v4
During World War II, Siam (modern-day Thailand) initially declared neutrality but was soon pressured by Japan to allow passage of Japanese troops. In December 1941, following a swift invasion, Siam formed an alliance with Japan. The Thai leadership, under Chief of the Thai Army Phibun Songkhram, renamed the country Thailand and engaged in minor conflicts to regain territories lost in previous treaties.
