BAE Systems Tempest-6th Gen Fighter

Tempest began as a British-led future combat-air program and later became part of the Global Combat Air Programme with Italy and Japan. It concerns the development of a new generation of crewed combat aircraft and associated systems. Demonstrators and design concepts must be distinguished from an operational fighter with a completed production and combat-service history. Future-aircraft programs involve sensors, weapons, communications, software, and industrial cooperation alongside the airframe itself. Early artistic impressions can change as requirements mature. Britain publicly launched Team Tempest in 2018. BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Leonardo, and MBDA participated in the British industrial team, linking airframe, propulsion, electronics, and weapons expertise. Cooperation with Japan and Italy subsequently placed that work within a wider international framework.
