Turkey ACV-15 Infantry Fighting Vehicle

Turkey’s ACV-15 family developed from the American armored infantry fighting vehicle concept and became an important domestically produced tracked vehicle series. Variants support troop transport, weapons, command, and other roles. The family illustrates licensed and adapted armored-vehicle production, combining an established basic layout with national manufacturing and equipment requirements. A common chassis can simplify support across several specialized vehicles, but different turrets, weapons, and interior arrangements produce different tactical roles. The ACV-15 family’s history is therefore broader than one infantry carrier. Its production also contributed to the growth of Turkey’s armored-vehicle industry and the ability to equip national and export customers.
