WZ-10 Helo

The Chinese Z-10 is a dedicated attack helicopter developed to support ground forces with guided weapons and cannon fire. Its narrow fuselage and tandem seating distinguish it from transport helicopters adapted to carry weapons. It belongs to the modern development of Chinese army aviation, with specific weapons and defensive equipment varying between versions and operators. An attack helicopter’s usefulness depends on target information, coordination with ground forces, weapons, and protection against increasingly capable air defenses. The Z-10 is part of that combined system. Its visual similarity to other tandem-seat attack helicopters does not mean that it shares their exact development history, powerplant, or equipment configuration.
