Lancia 3Ro Command Truck-Graziani

The Lancia 3Ro was a substantial Italian military truck used for cargo and specialized bodies during the Second World War. A command-truck version associated with Marshal Rodolfo Graziani represents the adaptation of a transport chassis to headquarters work. Such vehicles supported staff accommodation, communications, and the movement of command facilities, depending on their equipment. Command-body conversions added working space and communications equipment to commercial-derived military trucks; individual installations could differ considerably from ordinary cargo vehicles of the same automotive family. A headquarters truck could provide protected working space from weather without offering tank-like armor. Staff transport, radio connections, maps, and administrative work all contributed to a command post’s practical effectiveness.
